AR Points Checker ("the App") helps users look up Accelerated Reader (AR) book information. This policy explains what information is used when you use the App.

Summary

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not require you to create an account.
• Bookmarks, search history, and reading goals are stored on your device.
• Book searches are sent to AR Bookfinder (arbookfind.com) to retrieve results.

Information We Collect

The App does not collect personal information on a server operated by the developer. The following data may be stored locally on your device:

• Books you bookmark
• Recent search terms
• Reading goal settings
• App preferences (such as user type: Student, Parent, Teacher, or Librarian)
• If you use Teacher mode: student names, goals, and books you log for your class (stored only on your device)

You can clear search history in Settings. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data.

Camera Permission

If you use barcode scanning, the App requests camera access. Barcode images are processed on your device to read ISBN numbers. We do not upload camera images to our servers.

Internet and Third-Party Services

When you search for a book, the App connects to AR Bookfinder (operated by Renaissance Learning, Inc.) to retrieve book details such as AR points, book level, and quiz information. Search terms you enter may be transmitted to that website as part of a normal search request.

The App may load book cover images from third-party URLs returned by search results. AR Points Checker is not affiliated with Renaissance Learning or AR Bookfinder.

Google Play processes your app purchase. Payment information is handled by Google, not by us. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Analytics and Advertising

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs or developer-operated analytics that track you across other apps or websites.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for students, parents, teachers, and librarians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on our own servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will respond promptly.

Data Security

Locally stored data is protected by your device's operating system. Internet requests use secure connections (HTTPS) where supported by third-party services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
